Vision

We are committed to identifying and supporting programs aimed at:

Developing and advancing the community and in particular those at the bottom of the pyramid who are unequally endowed/enabled and also

Reducing negative impact of its operations on the environment.

Mission

Our CSR mission is to contribute to the social and economic development of the community through a series of interventions. We seek to mainstream economically, physically and socially challenged groups and to draw them into the cycle of growth, development and empowerment. Our strategy is to integrate our activities in community development, social responsibility and environmental responsibility and encourage each business unit or function to include these considerations into its operations.

Influencing and improving the quality of lives

HEALTH + WASH

HEALTH

  • 18,000 plus indigent patients received primary healthcare support through 272 medical camps in rural areas.
  • 2755 pregnant women, 654 young married women, 1000+ lactating mothers and more than 9000 rural households were sensitized on sexual & reproductive health, maternal care and child nutrition.
  • Nearly 800 front line workers were empowered through capacity building.
  • Around 2500 senior citizens were treated for Cataract and 100 free eye screening camps were conducted.

WASH:

  • 21,000 children have been provided with access to sanitation facilities including hand washing stations, incinerator and sanitary bank in 70 schools across 66 villages.
  • 89,000 liters of clean & safe drinking water have been provided to 4,900 households through 18 new community water purification plants

LITERACY + LIVELIHOOD

LITERACY:

  • 13,000 children in 170 low  income schools were provided free meals daily to improve enrollment & participation in classroom.
  • 7,629 school dropouts were enrolled across 38 schools through parent-child counseling & awareness drives
  • Nearly 800 front line workers were empowered through capacity building.
  • 3735 children across 20 schools were provided with safe learning environment and 700 girls in class VII IX were provided with academic support through remedial coaching classes.

LIVELIHOOD:

  • 3,830 youth were enrolled for employability enhancement programs for securing entry level jobs in industries such as banking & financial services, retail, IteS, Beauty & Wellness, Healthcare and others. Of them 305 youth are physically challenged.
  • 70% of trained youth were employed, either through jobs in the formal sector or through self employment. 60% of these trained youth are gainfully employed.

NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • 10 community farm ponds were built, creating annual water holding capacity of 5,000m3 to meet the irrigation needs of small & marginal farmers.
  • 9 new group wells were developed and 3 existing wells were deepened, collectively creating the water storage capacity of 750m3
  • 16 small & medium lakes covering 55 acres of land have been scientifically restored through mechanized de-silting and erecting strong earthen bunds, creating water holding capacity of approx. 9,100 m3.
  • 23 check dams, 25 naala plugs, 10 soil bunds and other structures have been developed to prevent soil erosion and naturally recharge ground water table
  • 6,200 households and 1,400 establishments are practicing source segregation of waste and 52 tons of non-recyclable waste was diverted from being dumped into the landfills.

DISASTER RELIEF

400 flood affected victims in Purnea district, Bihar were provided with relief kits consisting of essentials and restoration work such as building bridges, cleaning of canals and de- silting of water harvesting structures was carried out.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

On the 71st National Republic Day, 15 soldiers of the Indian Army who were disabled in the line of duty were honoured with mementos and financial aid

EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERING

750 employees across the country participated in various voluntary activities on Commemorative days. The activities included, Cleanliness drives, plantation drives, engaging children in Sports activities and distribution of food kits to the needy.

ACTS OF SIMPLE KINDNESS (ASK)

ASK is celebrated in the first week of January wherein employees participate in simple act of kindness by spending quality time with the less privileged, to give back to the society

  • January 2020 ASK was conducted across 262 locations pan India, wherein hundreds of employees visited nearly 300 charitable institutions to perform simple acts of kindness.
  • Employees made generous voluntary contributions towards supply of essential items such as dry ration, clothes, blankets, books, stationary kits etc.
